Is parking free for persons with disabilities?

Where do I park to drop off or pick up guests?
You can use the designated drop-off areas on the departures level. These areas have a time limit for parking. For pick-ups, please use the car park — there is no kerbside pick-up lane at arrivals.
How can I pay the parking fee?
Parking fees can be paid at automatic pay stations before you exit, or at the parking office. Card and cash payment options may vary by zone — check signage on arrival.
How can I book parking?
Advance parking can be arranged through our park & fly information or by contacting the parking operator listed on the parking page.
Can I leave my car parked for more than one day?
Yes. Stays up to 24 hours are charged at 600 MRU per day (from 1 August 2026). Longer stays are billed per day at that rate — see parking for the full tariff.
What is the cost for parking?
From 1 August 2026, parking is free for up to 15 minutes, then 70 MRU (1 h), 140 MRU (2 h), 210 MRU (3 h), 280 MRU (4 h), and 600 MRU per day (up to 24 hours). A lost ticket costs 300 MRU plus applicable parking fees. Full details are on our parking page.

What time do check-in counters open?
Check-in counters typically open approximately three hours before scheduled departure. Confirm exact times with your airline.
How long before my flight should I be at the airport?
We recommend arriving at least three hours before international departures to allow time for check-in, security, and border formalities. See our departure guide.
Can I pick up guests from the airport?
There is no kerbside pick-up at arrivals. Please use the car park and meet guests inside the terminal or at the agreed meeting point.
Can I drop off guests at the airport?
Yes. Designated drop-off areas are located near the terminal entrance with a maximum waiting time — follow on-site signage.

If my goods were confiscated, what can I do?
Items removed for safety or security reasons cannot usually be returned. Check prohibited items before you pack.
How much will excess baggage cost?
Excess baggage charges depend on your airline and ticket type. Contact your airline or check your booking for rates.

How can I report damaged checked-in baggage?

What happens if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
Your airline is responsible for rebooking and passenger rights. Monitor the flight board and follow airline announcements.

What can I do if I missed my flight?
Contact your airline immediately to rebook or purchase a new ticket. Airport staff cannot reissue airline tickets.
Carry-on
What can I do if I lost something while travelling?
Report lost property to airport assistance or your airline as soon as possible. See assistance and contact.
Can I bring medications in my carry-on?
Keep medicines in original packaging with a prescription where possible. Some controlled medicines require prior approval — check Mauritanian health and customs rules before arrival.
How much baby food can I bring?
Reasonable quantities of baby food and milk for the journey are usually permitted. Security may ask you to taste or screen items.
Are pets allowed as carry-on?
